(l) In connection with the financial fund raising
requirements it was stated that each unit should set a "target"
level on a yearly basis and endeavor to meet these "target"
levels. toraid headguarters requested any new ideas concerning
fund raising methods.
(2) In connection with Noraid's publicity. and lobbying
attempts it was discussed that a campaign to highlight the
forthcoming 2oth anniversary of direct British military
intervention in Northern Ireland be made. rhe intention of this
campaign was to encourage political, media, religious, and.
cultural and human rights figures to support a statement caliing
for the British withdrawal from Ireland and the self-
determination for the Irish people.
Noraid headquarters also reguested that each Noraid
chapter send a complete membership list to Noraid headguarters
along with any other "supporters" who might be interested in the
republican cause.
It requested that each Noraid chapter appoint
anindividual to coordinate that unit's fund raising activities
to include the control of any Noraid merchandise for sale.
Each
unit was also to assign an individual to coordinate Noraid's
pubiicity campaign in that specific area.
Each unit was to
a2point a political lobbying coordinator responsible for
human rights/labor groups to voice the issues -of concern to
Noraid.
Each unit was also to appoint an individual responsible
for the promotion of the Irish People Newspaper to assist in the
fund raising activities.
