the weapons purchase ensued,

excused because he had to depart for Florida.
Prior
commented that he does not get involved in transactions,
leaving that aspect to the experts.
In order to gather intelligence information pertaining
to the unknown subjects (unsub) in their intent a general
non-specific conversation ensued between undercover agents
(UCAS) and

admitted being

members of tne Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA)
on a weapons and armament purchasing mission.
They both
inquired whether UCAs could sell them automatic weapons
Such as the M-l6, AK-47's, and H & K and M-30 machine guns.
admitted being knowledgeable and
familiar with numerous weapons
including Surface to Air
Missiles (SAMS).
placed an order for_5 Red
Eye(SAm) missiles at a total cost of $50,000.00.
both admitted during the meeting that the Red Eye
missiles were to be utilized to knock out aircraft from
the sky and in particular military helicopters which they
described as "warships of the air."
stated that he had received military training
however he refused to identify who had provided such training
but stated that it was not received from the British.
