Following the above activities was a lengthy
Speech by GEORGE HARRISON. HARRISON was introduced aS
someone who has been bringing guns from the United States
to Ireland for the past 3o years. HARRrSoN himself stated
that he joined the IRA when he was l5 years old and he
has been doing work for the IRA for 48 years. HARRISoN's
speech included a discussion of the historical connection
between MARxiSM and the IRA which dates to the l800's.
HARRiSoN was extremely critical of a speech made
by DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN in which MOYNIHAN urged apPeaSement
withBritain.
HARRISON made it clear that MOYNIHAN was
anenemy.
HARRiSoN stated that he could be contacted through
the Irish Northern Aid Committee in Chicago.
During the evening, HARRISoN spent guite a bit
of time talking separately to
